Temperament of the Pomeranian breed

One of the most independent of the Toy breeds, Pomeranian is a small lively dog. They’re very loyal to their handlers and to the family they serve. Poms are proud little dogs and are very intelligent. They are very determined to learn and can easily follow commands. They are good in learning tricks. They are considered to be one of the most independent breeds amongst other toy breeds. They may be difficult to feed because they can be picky at times. They can also get along well with other animals without any problems as long as they will be introduced.

Some behavior problems of the Pomeranian dogs are excessive barking, snapping and biting. There are also times when this breed can suffer from separation anxiety. But, if given detailed rules to follow, Pomeranians are expected to be calm and quiet.

Overall, this breed is a happy dog and can be a good companion for elders. They can also make good guard dogs.
