Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the US. This breed is loyal, very affectionate, patient, loving, well-mannered and can be an excellent family dog. Labradors aren’t really noisy dogs or territorial. They can easily trust strangers, therefore, not suitable as guard dogs.
This is a very intelligent breed and fun-loving. If not controlled, they can be quite problematic. They are very active and playful. Labradors mature only at about thee years of age. Oftentimes, they are mislabeled as hyperactive dogs. They are good with children and are harmless. Labs can be trained easily and always wanted to be part of the family. They love to play around especially with water and retrieving things being thrown. They do not attack easily and are very patient.
Overall, Labradors are great for houses and families as companion dogs.
