Labrador Retriever

The Labrador Retrievers (also called as Labradors/Labs) is a kind of retriever, a type of gun dog. The Labrador is a muscular and solid dog; he is slightly longer than he is tall. They have a slight water resistant double coat. The webbed feet are used for swimming. The paws are useful for the breed's original purpose of retrieving fishing nets.

Labrador Retrievers are registered in 3 colors as per AKC:
black (a solid black colour)
yellow (anything from light cream to "fox-red"),
chocolate (medium to dark brown).

The dogs of this breed are very compassionate, kind and loving to their master. The Labrador is the most popular breed of dog in the world, and is, by a large margin, the most popular breed by registration in Canada, the USA and the UK. The Labrador is also the most popular breed of assistance dog in Canada, the USA, Australia, UK and many other countries. They are also widely used by police and other official bodies for their detection and working abilities. Typically, labrador retriever training consists of swimming and playing catch and retrieve games.
